November 2012 Food Events

Here’s the round up for November food events in Ontario (outside of Toronto).  So many events were wine and food combined that we combined the two sections for easier browsing. Check back often as we will update as we become aware of new events.  If you have others, please feel free to submit them to us.

Elora Culinary Walking Tour,  Saturdays in November. 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Village Olive Grove, Elora. Walking tour with samples specially created dished at various locally owned and operated restaurants and shops while getting a bit of a history lesson. olivegrove@wightman.ca to reserve a spot.

Savour Stratford Perth County Farmer Dinner Series, Nov. 3. 8 p.m. Pazzo Ristorante, Stratford. $50. Chef Yva Santini invites you to meet Tony Jackson of T.J..’s Fin and Feather and learn about sustainable seafood with Robin Poirier of Oceanwise. Five-course meal. Farmer Dinners.

Savour Stratford Perth County Farmer Dinner Series, Nov. 10. Mercer Hall Inn, Stratford. Join Chef Tim Larsen and his team in an exclusive farmers dinner, night, featuring Mercer Hall’s favourite local food producers. Farmer Dinners.

Tutored herbal tea blending, Nov. 17. 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tea Leaves Tea Tasting Bar, Stratford. $45. Canada’s Tea Sommelier, Karen Hartwick shares the ancient tradition of infusing healing herbs in a 120 minute hands-on blending seminar. Tea Seminar.

Moveable Feast Elora, Nov. 27. 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Elora. $65. Three-course dinner served at three different restaurants: Cork, Mill Street Bakery & Bistro, The Cellar. Sensational Elora.
