November 2012 Food Events

Here’s the round up for November food events in Ontario (outside of Toronto).  So many events were wine and food combined that we combined the two sections for easier browsing. Check back often as we will update as we become aware of new events.  If you have others, please feel free to submit them to us.

Elora Culinary Walking Tour,  Saturdays in November. 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Village Olive Grove, Elora. Walking tour with samples specially created dished at various locally owned and operated restaurants and shops while getting a bit of a history lesson. to reserve a spot.

Taste the Season, weekends in November. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake. $44.25. Taste the Season touring pass holders are treated to VQA wine and food pairings. Taste the Season.

Wrapped Up in the Valley, weekends in November, starting Nov. 10. Wineries of Twenty Valley, Niagara. $40. Local food and wine pairings at participating wineries. Wrapped Up in the Valley.

Countylicious, daily until Nov. 24. Prince Edward County. $30-$35. Prince Edward County’s celebration of fine dining featuring prix fixe menus is back. Three-course prix fixe menus. 613-393-2796. Countylicious.

Savour Stratford Perth County Farmer Dinner Series, Nov. 3. 8 p.m. Pazzo Ristorante, Stratford. $50. Chef Yva Santini invites you to meet Tony Jackson of T.J..’s Fin and Feather and learn about sustainable seafood with Robin Poirier of Oceanwise. Five-course meal. Farmer Dinners.

Coast to Coast @Stratus, Nov. 3. 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Stratus Wines, Niagara-on-the-Lake. $172.50. Featuring Chef Jeremy Charles of Raymonds, Newfoundland, named Canada’s Top New Restaurant by enRoute Magazine. Five-course dinner celebrating Newfoundland regional cuisine. 905-468-1806. Stratus Wines.

Savour Stratford Perth County Farmer Dinner Series, Nov. 10. Mercer Hall Inn, Stratford. Join Chef Tim Larsen and his team in an exclusive farmers dinner, night, featuring Mercer Hall’s favourite local food producers. Farmer Dinners.

Cooking with Herbs: Party Planning, Nov. 10. 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Heritage Line Herbs, Aylmer. $25. Learn the secrets and tips of throwing a great party, making an assortment of appetizers and dips. Register by phone. 519-866-5577.

Tutored herbal tea blending, Nov. 17. 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tea Leaves Tea Tasting Bar, Stratford. $45. Canada’s Tea Sommelier, Karen Hartwick shares the ancient tradition of infusing healing herbs in a 120 minute hands-on blending seminar. Tea Seminar.

Savour Stratford Perth County Farmer Dinner Series, Nov. 24. 8 p.m. Revel Cafe, Stratford. Chef Randi Rudner featuring a talk by Max and Vicki Lass of Church Hill Farm. Dinner menu includes Harmony Organic, Church Hill Farm and Soiled Reputation. Farmer Dinners.

Christmas HandMade Market, Nov. 24-25. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fielding Estate Winery and the Good Earth,  Beamsville. Artisan vendors, food trucks, wine. HandMade Market.

Moveable Feast Elora, Nov. 27. 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Elora. $65. Three-course dinner served at three different restaurants: Cork, Mill Street Bakery & Bistro, The Cellar. Sensational Elora.
