Here’s the round up for December food events in Toronto.  Check back often as we will update as we become aware of new events.  If you have others, please feel free to submit them to us.

Farmers’ Markets and Market Events in Toronto

Crème Fraiche Market Café, year-round.  Tuesdays-Sundays, 8am-8pm.  639 Annette Street, at the corner of Annette and Durie, west of Runnymede Rd.  Monforte Dairy “cheese ladies”, Constance Dykun and Rachel Silva, have opened up their brand new local food market and café in the west end!  Chock full of farmers’ market local fare from Chocosol, DeFloured, St. John’s Bakery bread, and of course, Monforte Dairy cheeses, Crème Fraiche aims to showcase the local food talent in the city and province.  http://cremefraichemarket.com/about/

Good Food Market at The Stop Community Food Centre, year-roundTuesdays, 3pm-5:30pm.  During late fall and early spring (October-April), the market is held indoors in The Stop’s Drop-In at 1884 Davenport Rd. and during the spring and summer (May-September), the market is held at 1990 Davenport Rd.  http://thestop.org/good-food-market-and-bake-oven

Metro Hall Farmers’ Market, year-round.  Thursdays, 8am-2pm.  During the winter (November-April), last Thursday of every month in the CBC Broadcasting Building at 250 Front Street West.  During the summer (May-October), every Thursday starting May 31st at Simcoe Place Park just outside the CBC building, and at David Pecaut Square at 221 King Street West thereafter.

Montgomery’s Inn Farmers’ Market, May 23 – December 5.  Wednesdays, 3pm-7pm.  4709 Dundas St. West, Etobicoke.  Enjoy fresh baked bread from the inn’s wood-fired oven, fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, and more.  http://www.montgomerysinn.com/

Toronto Christmas Market at The Historic Distillery District – November 30-December 16.  FREE; cost of food and drink on-site.  The sparkling, wintry outdoor market is back at the Distillery District for its 3rd holiday season!  Presented by Lowe’s, the Christmas Market infuses old-town holiday charm with European street market appeal with everything from twinkly night light displays to street vendors selling teas, coffees, European meats, hot food, baked goods, and food gift baskets, to the market’s iconic giant Christmas tree!  http://www.torontochristmasmarket.com/
