Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival – ongoing to Feb 14th, various locations throughout Vancouver. This marks the 3rd annual hot chocolate festival with more participating outlets (23) than ever and over 60 different flavours of hot chocolate. All the details.

Edible Canada Speaker Series – Wine VS Beer – Which is Better with Cheese? Feb 1st 3:30pm Edible Canada at the Market, 1596 Johnston Street. $30 +tax. Local and international cheeses from Benton Bros on Granville Island, will be hand selected by one of the brothers themselves. Once we have the cheese, the EC wine team will be responsible for picking what they deem to be the best wine and beer pairing for each cheese. You will be the judge in this friendly competition! The Grape Debate – Feb 1st 7pm, Vancouver Public Library, 350 West Georgia $28. The Motion: Should BC have a signature wine varietal? Our panel of wine experts will debate the benefits and drawbacks to developing a signature varietal for BC. Le Bon Gout: High Fashion Feb 1 7:30-10pm Bar None – 1222 Hamilton Street $25.
