February 2013 Ontario Food Events

Here’s the round up for February 2013 food events in Ontario (outside of Toronto).  So many events were wine and food combined that we combined the two sections for easier browsing. Check back often as we will update as we become aware of new events.  If you have others, please feel free to submit them to us.

Elora Culinary Walking Tour,  Saturdays. 1 p.m – 3 p.m. The Village Olive Grove, Elora. Come for a stroll through the streets of historic Elora and enjoy the culinary delights it has to offer. to reserve a spot.

Harvest Table Lunch. Saturdays in February. Trius Winery at Hillebrand, Niagara-on-the-Lake. $65. Enjoy an intimate lunch hosted by a member of Chef Frank Dodd’s culinary team as they share local food and wine stories.

Guelph Organic Conference. Jan. 31 to Feb 3. University of Guelph. Workshops, seminars and an organic expo. Organic Conference.

Celebrity Chef Dinner. Feb. 1-2, 6:30, 6:45, 7 p.m. The Prune, Stratford. $60. Featuring Matt Blondin and a student chef preparing a multi-course meal with wine. Stratford Chef School.

Kitchen Table Lunch or Dinner. Feb. 2 & 9. Peller Estates Winery, Niagara-on-the-Lake. $97 for lunch. $165 for dinner. Then join us for an afternoon in Chef Parsons’ kitchen where you’ll have a front row seat to watch his culinary team in action.

Bijou Winter Cooking & Wine Classes.  Feb. 2, 9 & 23. 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Bijou Restaurant, Stratford. $120. Join the popular cooking and wine classes, making and eating a four-course meal. Different themes each week. Bijou

Niagara Seedy Saturday. Feb. 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Glengate Alliance Church, Niagara Falls. Admission by donation. Learn about growing food during lectures and shop for heirloom vegetable seed. Niagara Seedy Saturday.

Truffles of the Twenty. Feb. 9 & 16. Cave Spring Cellars, Jordan. $55. join Kelly Nemeth of Truffles of theTwenty for an entertaining afternoon exploring the art of making chocolate truffles and taste Cave Spring wines.

2012 Vintage Preview Tasting. Feb. 16, 2:30 p.m.. Hinterbrook Winery, Niagara-on-the-Lake.  $10. Be the first to taste our new 2012 vintage whites and rose straight out of the tank.

Love is in the Fare. Feb. 16, 6 p.m. Good Earth Food and Wine Co., Beamsville. $40. The Good Girth Supper Club celebrates all kinds of love with food and wine in a three-course meal.
