Start From Scratch January Intake Open Now

Start From Scratch, the non-profit program that teaches new university students how to cook healthy meals from Scratch in Alberta and Saskatchewan, has just opened up it's application process for their winter session.  Students must attend either the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University or University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.  If you are, or know of, a student who might benefit from this fun program, head on over to Start From Scratch for more details.  Applications are accepted until January 15, 2013.

Holiday Recipe Roundup – Deadline This Friday!

Our Halloween recipe was so much fun and got so much love that we’re going to do a Holiday Recipe Roundup in December.  Send us a link to your favourite holiday recipe from your blog, along with a photo (620px wide) by December 7th, and we’ll do a special roundup post on December 12th.  You can send your entries to info[at]foodbloggersofcanada[dot]com.  We can’t wait to see what you send in!

Calgary Food Blogger Bake Sale (AB)

The Calgary Food Bloggers Bake Sale Holiday Edition happening this weekend on December 8th at Casel Marché.  Proceeds will be going to Calgary Meals on Wheels.  Stacks of outstanding Alberta FBC Members will be participating (we can’t even list them all here there’s so many!) so be sure to check out their Facebook event pagefor the complete list of bloggers and, if you’re in the Calgary area get out and support them and get some yummy treats!  I've seen lots of twitter chatter about it and it sounds like a great time will be had for a worthy cause
