FBC 2013 Conference

IT IS FINALLY HERE!

Tomorrow is the day! Tickets for FBC2013 go on sale Friday January 25th, 2013 at 9AM PST/ 12PM EST.

Since Food Bloggers of Canada was launched in the Fall of 2011, we've had a goal - to put on the first Canadian Food Blogger Conference ever! Now it's your turn to make it a reality and be part of something momentous! We are thrilled to invite you to #FBC2013 from April 12th - 14th 2013 at the beautiful Hockley Valley Resort, just outside of Toronto. This is the opportunity that Canadian food bloggers have been waiting for, an occasion for friends to finally meet and celebrate Canada’s food blogging scene.

There is going to be so much going on at this intimate event - the first of its kind in Canada - that we don't even know where to start.

TALENTED, KNOWLEDGEABLE & APPROACHABLE SPEAKERS

We have secured a fantastic lineup of talented and accomplished speakers, led by our incomparable keynote speaker, Mr. David Leite.  You can see our entire speaker lineup here - it's packed full of great Canadian food talent.

Our session lineup includes:

  • food photography and styling
  • recipe development panel
  • publishing panel
  • restaurant reviewing panel
  • tech workshop
  • blog finances and taxes
  • food writing
  • working with brands and PR firms

YOUR FBC CONFERENCE TICKET PROVIDES EVERYTHING!

And if that weren't enough, your ticket includes everything from the moment you set foot in the resort till the moment you leave.  Accommodation, meals, snacks, sessions, evening entertainment are all included.**

Friday night starts at 6pm with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner with our keynote speaker David Leite and a movie night complete with sweet treats!

Saturday is a full day of sessions and includes breakfast, lunch, dinner (and snacks!) and a fun night of music around the resort's fire pit (complete with late night treats!)

Sunday is a half day of sessions and includes breakfast and lunch.  We'll be wrapping up at 2pm.

SWAG, SWAG AND MORE SWAG

And if that's not enough, we have a few goodies to sweeten the deal from some of our generous sponsors!

Blurb Books will be giving each attendee a coupon to redeem for a free photo book valued at $40!

Nordic Ware will supply each registered attendee with a Cast Traditions 3 Quart Dutch Oven and 12” Braiser Pan, as well as a Chicken Leg Griller to work with before the conference.

TICKET INFORMATION

This is an intimate and interactive event and for that reason, tickets are limited to 75 in total.

Double Occupancy tickets are $699 (+ taxes & fees) - you will be sharing a room with two queen sized beds with another attendee (you can request a specific roommate or we can assign you one)

We have a very limited number of single occupancy tickets at $850 (+ taxes & fee), and conference only passes (sessions and meals, no accommodation) for $450 (+ taxes & fees).  These are available on a first come, first served basis and there will not be any additional tickets released.

Purchase Tickets on EventBrite.

We will do our best to accommodate roommate requests.

If tickets sell out before all interested attendees are able to purchase a ticket, a waiting list will automatically be started on Eventbrite. If there are any refunds requested (see below) or transfers needed, we will contact those on the waiting list.

Tickets are refundable within 14 days of purchase, and transferable up to March 15, 2013. While we promise to do our best to put you in touch with someone on our waiting list if needed, many of our materials (tickets, any sponsored giveaways, etc.) are personalized, so we regret that we will be unable to offer any ticket refunds or accommodate transfer requests after March 15.

The closest major airport is the Toronto Pearson International Airport. For those flying in to Toronto, we will provide information as we get closer to the conference on the various ways to get to Hockley Valley.

**additional room charges for items such as room service, movies, phone calls are not included.
