Date squares have always been my Kryptonite. Give me a choice between a brownie and a date square, there's a 99.9% certainty I'm going for that crumbly date goodness. I'm not sure why, maybe because it's not something that is always readily available but I'm rarely disappointed. So when we were asked to sample the date rolls from Natural Delights, it was an offer we simply couldn't refuse.
Natural Delights have re-lauched two of their existing flavours, coconut and almond. And they also have a limited edition of Pecan Pumpkin Pie Spiced rolls. I haven't figured out which one is my favourite yet, but I'm leaning towards the coconut ones. They are the perfect afternoon or late night snack with coffee, tea or chocolate milk (my other Kryptonite). When you work from home, I feel you need that extra boost at around 3pm to power you through the rest of the day and a handful of these rolls totally does the trick.
As I said, the coconut ones might be my favourite of the bunch. I think it's because the coconut flakes themselves just compliment the natural sweetness of the dates themselves. And that fact that the ingredient list is only two thing, "dates and coconut" speaks for itself. As for the the almond rolls, they have a little more crunch and texture to them being rolled in nuts. And the new flavour is pecan and pumpkin pie. If you're not careful, it's easy to eat them all in one sitting. I'm not saying I did that, but it was close! This one is seasonal and has the flavours of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves that you would expect with something Fall-ish.

Have always loved dates so would devour these. Wish they were at FBC2015 (or I missed them)
I absolutely LOVED the Pecan Pumpkin Pie Spiced Date Rolls that I got in my FBC2015 swag bag. I’ve been snacking on them for the past few days and thinking that once they ran out I’ll have to create a copycat recipe. Anything cinnamon is my kryptonite, so I really loved them!

I love Natural Delights Medjool Dates. I’ve only been buying the whole dates, I have not tried the date rolls. I can’t decide which of the 3 above I’d like to try most as they all sound great! I’m leaning towards the almond.

My Mom makes the best date squares (well, doesn’t everyone’s Mom?). Dates have always had a place in my kitchen, but now more than ever, since my partner is both vegan and has celiac disease. There are so many ways to use them.

I love coconut anything – so to try would be amazing.
These flavours sound delicious and would be wonderful to try them all! Love dates for their natural sweetness and caramel flavours. I often use dates instead of sugar in recipes and they are awesome in unbaked energy bars and such.
