FBCParty - Join Us on Twitter | Food Bloggers of Canada

FBC2014 is still 5 months away and we sort of missed having a big party this April so we thought we'd throw one anyway - one that everyone could attend without buying a plane ticket!

It ain't no party like an #FBCParty so we're inviting you all to join us on May 29th as we tweet about all things relating to Food Blogging in Canada.   And just like any party, it's a chance to get to mingle with your fellow FBCers, have a lot of fun and... a few lucky people will get to take home some awesome party favours! (plus, you might learn a few things along the way... bonus, right?)

The Hostesses with Mostess

We've even got some special guests.  The lovely, soon to be published Aimée Wimbush-Bourque of Simple Bites and cookbook author, home economist, and all round funny lady, Mairlyn Smith, will be co-hosting alongside of FBC and FBC co-founders Ethan Adeland and Melissa Hartfiel.

Party Favours

The prizes are all on us - just because we want to make a few people extra happy.  And it's not a twitter party without prizing  so we've got it all covered!

Grand Prize: the grand prize winner will have the choice of a new iPad Air OR a $500 Future Shop Gift Card.
Additional Prizes: We will also have four  (4) $25 Starbucks gift cards to award throughout the party

The Fine Print (aka The House Rules):

  • To be eligible to win a prize, you must reside in Canada.
  • There will be ONE (1) Grand Prize available.  The winner may choose between a 16GB, Wi-Fi only, iPad Air OR a $500 gift card to Future Shop.
  • You must RSVP to be eligible to win

Crap, I didn’t put my twitter handle… Ppkongacooks should I re register?

Teresa Valvano

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am-I’m such a foodie!

Melissa (FBC Admin)

It’s how you RSVP so that we have a record of all the attendees. You need to RSVP to be eligible for the prizes 🙂 You put your twitter handle in the first box and then your twitter profile link in the second one.

Mr. Linky didn’t say that in the directions. It asked for name and URL. How about adding that info to the “RSVP below” line to clarify?

Janice @Kitchen Heals Soul

I find it funny how many of us had trouble with the form. I personally started out by clicking on the mister linkie url removal tool before I had even filled out the form or signed up. We are such a funny bunch.

Anyways, I’ll be there 🙂

I’m down with that. I’ll wear heels, only because I don’t wear heals and this is a virtual party. In a *virtual* world I can walk in heels.

The first time I input my info, I put my blog URL instead of my twitter URL. That’s what I get for signing up at 3am!

Looking forward to it! I put it in my calendar already since I’ve been pretty spacey lately and I don’t want to miss this.

Mary Tang

I’m #45 & 126 on the list. I missed the note of putting my twitter handle in the name box.

Looking fwd to this.

It would have been easier if everyone just added their twitter url instead of blog urls so it’s easy to follow. Look forward to partying with everyone!

I don’t see anywhere else to leave my twitter handle and URL….. so I’m hoping this counts for an RSVP? If not, let me know where I should be leaving it. I don’t see anywhere else on this page.

Melissa (FBC Admin)

Hi Recipe Rebel – you should see a Mr Linky box at the bottom of the post, below the list of all the names of people who are attending. That’s where we need you to RSVP. Thanks!

looking forward to chatting tonight! am hoping to do more food posts, and I just know I’ll be inspired!:)
