Every week we pull together some great Canadian recipes from Canadian food bloggers around the web featuring one main ingredient or dish. This week we have a collection of recipes using an ingredient you either love... or hate: raisins!

14 Raisin Recipes | Food Bloggers of Canada

When it comes to raisins most people either love them or hate them! I may have been one of the only kids who loved getting the little red boxes of Sunmaid raisins in my Halloween trick or treat bag and Glosette Raisins were my favourite movie treat growing up (and possibly still are!).

When it comes to baking the debate can get even more heated. An oatmeal cookie with raisins? Or chocolate chips? And what about that Canadian classic, the butter tart? You're either a passionately pro or anti raisin when it comes to the butter tart. And fruit cake anyone?

We're going to assume that if you've made it here, you are pro-raisin and if so, you'll love this recipe raisin collection we've put together for you.  There are, of course, favourite takes on oatmeal raisin cookies and raisin bread but there's sure to be a few new dishes to add to your favourites! And don't forget savoury dishes with raisins - including Sondi's Golden Turmeric and Raisin Rice and Ksenia's Middle Eastern Spiced Cauliflower Soup with Raisins.  Raisins pair very nicely with spices like curry, cumin, and coriander in savoury dishes.

We hope you enjoy this raisin recipe collection:
