Many of the scheduling tools listed in the Social Media Tools spreadsheet mentioned above have very useful blogs with lots of great and current tips (later.com is one of our current favourites for Instagram marketing news).  Social media changes quickly so it's important to stay on top of what's current. Many of these sites also offer free social media planners and templates.

Social Media Examiner is one of the most respected and current social media blogs on the internet with lots of resources guides, templates and reports.  They also have a very short, useful daily podcast with tips and tricks.
