Winnipeg Food Blogging Conference | Food Bloggers of Canada

Winnipeg Food Blogging Conference

Join us for a full day of learning, networking and, of course, eating, at Kichen Sync in Winnipeg on September 15th.

Whether you're an experienced food blogger or brand new, you will leave this event with new skills, new friends, lots of inspiration and the confidence to take your food blog to a new level.

We've brought together an incredible team of photography, styling, writing, blogging and media professionals who will be sharing their expertise with you over the course of the day.

You'll learn skills to take your blog to the next level through our sessions and through networking with fellow attendees.

Our goal is to send you home with the tools you need to take the next steps in your blog while feeling inspired and motivated. We want to help you connect with other bloggers facing the same challenges so you can work together to grow after the day is over.  And of course, you'll have fun and eat some great food!

This workshop is also the fourth stop on the three week long 2018 FBC Great Canadian Road Trip.  Check out the Road Trip itinerary for more fun stops throughout Canada!

Meet Your Session Leaders

You'll spend the day learning from this talented team of speakers. They'll be sharing their expertise and leaving lots of time to answer your questions. You can read their full bios here.

Ethan Adeland

Ethan is part of the co-founding team of FBC and manages all the FBC Blogger/Brand campaigns as well as FBC's own brand partnerships. He'll be available to answer questions on how to network and approach brands, pitching yourself and creating your own brand campaign opportunities. If you want to form long term relationships with your brand partners, Ethan is the person to answer your questions!

Ashley Fehr

Ashley Fehr

A Manitoba native, Ashley is the voice behind one of  the most popular blogs, not only in Canada, but in North America. The Recipe Rebel  is where she shares easy, no fuss recipes for the whole family - with her own unique twist. Ashley quit her job as a teacher when she realized she had grown her blog to the point where it could be a full time gig, giving her the freedom to stay at home with three very young children. With her husband now also helping out with the blog, Ashley and her family have created their own definition of success that lets them live the lifestyle they always hoped for.

Melissa Hartfiel

Melissa is part of the co-founding team of FBC and manages content creation and the FBC community. She's also a graphic designer by trade. She'll be available to answer questions on creating content for different mediums and social platforms, branding strategies, bringing on content contributors to your site and building a community through your blog, newsletters and social channels.

Dennis Prescott

Dennis Prescott

Dennis will be bringing his formidable photography and styling skills to Winnipeg to help you take your photography skills to the next level. With over 400K Instagram followers, he knows his stuff! He'll cover styling, lighting, developing your signature style and how to set up and shoot so your work can be repurposed on your blog and multiple social media platforms. He may even put his chef skills to work and cook for us!

Claire Tansey

Claire Tansey

With over 20 years experience in the food media industry, including a term as the Food Editor for Chatelaine magazine, Claire Tansey knows food - how to cook it, talk about it and write about it. Now focusing on a career in recipe development for brands, her blog, Claire Tansey's Kitchen, and for her soon to be published cookbook, Claire has found ways to diversify her career through multiple platforms and outlets, giving herself many options to do the work she loves

Shel Zolkewich

As a journalist, food stylist, editor, recipe developer and spokesperson, Shel has built a varied career for herself out of her love of food, travel and the outdoors. She's a well known figure on Manitoba television making regular appearances cooking or discussing food on Global Winnipeg and CTV Winnipeg and she'll be sharing her tips and strategies for prepping for a live TV segment or cooking event as well as assisting Dennis during his photography session.
