I honestly don't know where to begin. So let's begin with the simple stuff...pun intended.

Let's have a look at what keeps Aimée Wimbush-Bourque busy every day.

Aimée - The Mom and Blogger

Before the blog and kids, Aimée attended culinary school, worked in many fine-dining restaurants, did a little work as a personal chef and as a caterer. Without realizing it, it was the perfect training ground to become a food blogger.

Back in 2007, she started the blog Under The High Chair. If the header is any indication, she doesn't sweat the small stuff and certainly has a sense of humour. Aimée shares the family life she's carved out for herself on her third of an acre just outside of Montreal with her husband, her two young boys and her soon-to-pop daughter in the next few weeks.

If there is one post that summarizes what's happening Under The High Chair, this is the one for me. No words, just pictures of an amazing homemade LEGO cake, plenty of smiles and a beautiful family.

Aimée - The Editor

Aimée is the editor of Simple Bites. It's a one-stop shop family-focused haven for all things food and drink. As the name implies, Aimée spends her time working with her contributors in providing simple but effective help for meal planning, recipes and cooking tips. This Mac & Cheese may be meant for toddlers, but I'm not ashamed to say I'd like a bowl or four of it!

Although, it's not always about the numbers, in some cases it is. Simple Bites recently topped 10,000 subscribers and hit over 300,000 page views per month. With numbers like that, it's comforting to know there are lots of homes doing things the right way.

It doesn't all have to be within the kitchen as one of Aimée's most recent posts demonstrated with a fun post on how to plan a snow picnic. Of course, being in Montreal is an important part of that equation.

Aimée - The Friend

On a personal note, I've had the chance to meet and hang out with Aimée a couple of times, once at a food blogger retreat and again at dinner with a bunch of other bloggers. I could go on and on, but I'll simply say her love of food is apparent and that smile is truly genuine.

She is simply someone who continues to give Canadian food bloggers the reputation we're proud to have.
