Good morning everyone! Lots of member shoutouts this week but first, we have one administrative piece to take care of!

Regional Administrators

We've been growing by leaps and bounds and it has been so exciting to watch and get to meet so many amazing food bloggers across the country.

With growth comes more opportunities for all 383 of us.  In order to make the most of this and to bring you even more good things, good resources and good contests and giveaways, we're ready to bring on Regional Administrators.

We are still finalizing what the roles will entail, and will post a more detailed description in the coming weeks but, if you're interested, please drop us a line at info[at]foodbloggersofcanada[dot]com.  (please do this even if you have expressed prior interest).

We will be looking for a representative in each of the following regions: BC, the Prairies, Toronto, Ontario (excluding Toronto), Quebec, and the Atlantic provinces.

Member News

As we mentioned last week, Canadian Beef is awarding three Canadian Food Bloggers scholarships to attend Eat, Write, Retreat this year.  Congrats to FBC Members Lynn Lawandi from I’ll Have What She’s Having and Kathryne Grisim from Food Musings for capturing the first two spots! Now we just have to wait and see who takes the third space!

Also a shout out to Renee from SweetSugarbean who will be appearing this morning on CTV in Saskatoon, where she'll be whipping up a lentil/chickpea curry recipe on live tv!

And last but not least, Aimee from Simple Bites will be starring in this week's episode of Family Cook Off on the Food Network.  In each episode, two Canadian families go head to head in outdoor kitchens.  As the clock counts down, they whip up family favourites in a fiercely fun battle to score top points from celebrity judges.  The winners walk away with the coveted Golden Frying Pan, bragging rights and $1,000 worth of groceries.

Aimée, her mum and her two sisters are featured in this Thursday's episode, airing on Food Network at 1pm, 4pm and 9pm.  Be sure to tune in and cheer them on!

Got something fun happening in your food world?  Be sure to drop us a line and let us know about it - we'd love to share it with all our members!
