The Cookbook Store Turns 30

Toronto's The Cookbook Store is celebrating it's 30th anniversary this coming weekend from 11-4pm on Saturday April 6th.  Join them for cakes from some of Toronto's finest pastry chefs and bakers, special guests J.P Challet, author of One Post French and James Cunningham from the Food Network, launching Eat St. the cookbook.

Congrats to owner Alison Fryer and her team on this milestone - and we can't wait to have Alison join us at FBC2013 next week as our panel and session moderator!

Eat St. Cookbook

Speaking of the Eat St. Cookbook, tune in tomorrow when we offer up a chance for FBC Members to win their very own copy in celebration of its launch this week.  Big shout out to FBC Member (and regional admin for BC) Sean Neild, from Sean's Adventures in Flavourtown,  for his photography featured in the new cookbook!

Cookin' Greens In The Den Update

Last week one of our FBC2013 sponsors, Cookin' Greens was featured on the popular CBC show, Dragon's Den.  If you missed the episode you can watch it on the CBC website but, ***spoiler alert*** big congrats to the Cookin' Greens team for scoring a deal with Dragon Jim Treliving.  You can read about their experience on the Cookin' Greens blog.

Summer Fresh Fresh Sauces Challenge

Congratulations to Kelly Neil from Halifax for winning the Summer Fresh Fresh Sauces recipe challenge last week with her Butter Chicken Skillet Meatloaf.  Thirteen FBC members participated in the challenge and Summer Fresh loved the recipes they all came up with - you can read more about the recipe challenge here.
