Why did you start your blog?

I want to share the beauty and tastiness that is good food!  I hope my posts will help readers in deciding what restaurant to visit, what recipe to try, what food product to buy, or what event to attend. I also want to connect with other foodies and hear about their experiences.  With social media, it is so easy to do that nowadays. My blog motivates me to improve various skills: food photography, cooking, writing recipes and food writing. This space of mine on the internet serves to document my journey of learning as a food blogger and food enthusiast.

How did you decide on your blog name?

The basic meaning of the latin root “-gress” is “to step.” In conjunction with “food,” foodgressing to me means moving towards food. As a result, I coined the term “foodgressing” to represent my constant search for my next great eat!

Nero Belgian Waffle Bar Review.

I get very excited when I see a dish with beautiful presentation. Nero Belgian Waffle Bar has some of the most gorgeous looking waffles and I had a lot of fun taking photos of them when I was there dining there.

Feeding The 5000 Vancouver Recap

This post was not a restaurant review so it may have not been as much interest to my regular readers. I attended the Feeding The 5000 event in Vancouver, which was Canada's largest free outdoor lunch created using surplus food that would have been otherwise wasted. I think raising awareness of food waste is important to help us become a less wasteful society. I especially enjoyed the tofu puff profiteroles with mango custard and chocolate chip bread pudding with soy milk which were made from surplus ingredients.

What’s your biggest challenge as a blogger?

Finding enough time to blog! There is so much that I want to write about but so little time.

What are you working on next for your blog?

I am just finishing up a few posts on some restaurants I visited on my recent visit to Whistler, BC.

What else should we know about you that may or not be in your “About Me” page?

I recently completed a 32 hour culinary program at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts on Granville Island. I am excited to have learned various culinary techniques that will help me to improve my home cooking.

What makes your blog unique?

My blog continues to evolve with my food adventures. I enjoy dining out, but dining out nowadays with my toddler son has made some interesting and funny moments. I incorporate those tidbits into my blog.

What part of the FBC site do you find most useful?

I'm a food photography enthusiast so I enjoy the Food photography resources.
