Every week we pull together some great Canadian recipes from Canadian food bloggers around the web featuring one main ingredient or dish. This week, FBC members got creative with hummus recipes -  a dip that's a must-have at any picnic, potluck, dinner party or as a favourite snack!
Have you been to a party in the past last year where there hasn't been hummus on the table? Unlikely! The Levantine dip has definitely taken over much of the world. It's rich, creamy, garlicky, lemony flavours make it a crowd-pleaser that goes above and beyond because it's perfect for those with meat-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free preferences.
Even though the appetizer is exquisite as is, the classic 13th-century hummus recipe has started to be jazzed up a bit lately, mostly with the idea of making it more fun, more colourful or more nutrient dense.
Curious? Keep on reading and check out the 17 twists to the traditional hummus recipe that FBC members decided to share with us.
