We'll be hitting the road to Montreal this October for FBC2015 and we hope to see you there! The past three conferences have been a blast; seeing old friends, making new friends, learning lots and eating even more!

Last year, we brought the Blend & Extend method to the conference with a fun blogger video, outstanding dinner menu and an Appetizer Spotlight! We had a mouthwatering slew of recipes entered in the contest, with Lisa of Food Well Said's Beef and Shiitake Pot Stickers taking the title!

This year, it could be your turn! Enter your favourite mushroom-centric appetizer recipe for the chance to win an "Appetizer Spotlight" at the Mushrooms Canada table at the FBC conference in October, as well as a $150 grocery gift card of your choice! That's right, all you have to do is highlight mushrooms in a flavourful and unique appetizer.

You have from July 6th until August 31st, to create an original mushroom-centric appetizer recipe. We'll be judging based on ease of preparation, use of accessible ingredients, flavours, photography, etc.

The winning recipe, announced Monday September 14th, will be awarded the coveted "Appetizer Spotlight" at the Food Bloggers of Canada Friday night reception in Montreal!

All participants will be listed on the blog, and will have their recipe added to the Mushrooms Canada recipe library for all to see (and drool over) with full credit and links back to their blog, of course!

Recipe submissions, bio, and photos can be sent to
