The FBC 31 Day Blog Challenge Day 14: Reaching out to new bloggers | FBC

The 31 Day FBC Blog ChallengeThroughout January we will be running our 31 Day Blog Challenge: 31 days to clean up, grow and improve your blog. What better time than the start of a new year to get things sorted and ready to go for a brand new year of blogging?

We'll be sharing 31 tips, ideas, and strategies for you to get things in order and make blogging easier. This is Day 14.

Come on, you knew this was coming, didn't you? We tackled summoning up a little courage and reaching out to some established bloggers. Well, here's some real talk coming at you. Somewhere out there is a relatively new blogger (or not-so-new blogger) who loves your writing, adores your photos and appreciates you letting them in to your little online world. And just like you have your blogging idols, you are that to someone out there! This isn't meant to freak you out, it's just the truth. Now, we don't expect you to know who these people are, we're just reminding you that those people are out there.

One of the great things about FBC is that we have bloggers who have been around since the inception of the internet (or close to it!) and bloggers who just put up their first post. Browse the FBC member directory for a blogger in your province or just a cool sounding blog name that you totally love and introduce yourself. Or, let us do the hard work and just be sure to check out the FBC News every Monday where we welcome new FBC members. Maybe a new member shares your passion and devotes their time and blog to bacon or their urban garden. Who knows, you might become bff's!
And if everyone took Day #2 of the 31 Day FBC Challenge to heart, it's super easy to find someone's contact info nowadays!
How tragic would it be if the inability to find someone's email or "Contact Me" page prevented you from meeting your future best blogging friend!?
So go ahead, reach out to someone new and let's continue to grow and strengthen that amazing Canadian food blogger community that's already out there!

Love this! I have been intentionally trying to leave more comments this year on blogs I enjoy (for both established and newer blogs). Stats are good to get a sense of your readership, but comments really help you understand specifically what engages your audience.

I’m really enjoying this Blog Challenge series!

It can be so intimidating when you’re new to reach out but it’s worth it – and it’s worth it when you’re established and can give somebody that little confidence boost!

I’m not a food blogger exactly, though food is a growing topic in my blog. But I’m learning so much from this challenge. Agree with the ladies above! I’ll try to comment and hope others with visit and give me some feedback too! Looking forward to connecting with more of you.
