We are getting dangerously close to the end of August friends! Summer is almost over and we're gearing up to launch ourselves into the (very!) busy fall and winter season.
We have got so many exciting things coming this fall for our members including, of course, FBC2015 in Montreal in October. We just returned from our last trip to Montreal to work on exciting things like menus and menu tastings (so so good - you will love the food!), floor plans and AV requirements and all the other fun things that go into planning a three day conference! The conference is already 70% sold out so if you're thinking of attending, don't miss out - our room rate for the conference is only guaranteed until Sept 22nd! You can get your tickets here!
Culinary Travel Opportunity to Ireland
FBC member Laura Goyer from The Culinary Travel Guide will be hosting an exciting trip to Ireland from October 19 - 26 to explore the culinary treasures of the Emerald Isle. Highlights include a cooking class at the world renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School, a cooking lesson at the home of Ireland's most famous chef, Catherine Fulvio, dinner at Fade Street Social (the flagship venture of Ireland's MasterChef, Dylan McGrath), a tasting tour of Dublin, wild food foraging, a tour of the English market in Cork, an overnight stay at the magnificent Dromoland Castle, and much more! Email Laura at info@theculinarytravelguide.com for more information.
#BackToHealthy Twitter Party
Don't forget to join us tomorrow night (Tuesday, August 25, 2015) for the #BackToHealthy twitter party with Litehouse Foods. There are over $1000 worth of prizes to be won as we chat about getting back into fall and back to school routines. You'll need to RSVP to be eligible for prizing.
Melt Recipe Challenge
Five FBC Members are participating in the Castello Melt Recipe Challenge. If you want to show your support for them, you can go vote for your favourite recipe from either The Yum Yum Factor, Haute Sucre, Kitchen Trials, Art and the Kitchen or Beyond Umami. You can cast your vote here. Good luck to all five.
