We hope you're all enjoying our nation's birthday this Canada Day long weekend! Because of the long weekend, we're going to keep things short and sweet this week but we do have a couple of things to mention:
Our First Food Photography Workshop
We hosted our first food photography workshop this weekend in Vancouver with professional food photographer, Jackie Connelly, at Sugar Studios. Jackie put on two classes full of loads of hands on shooting and composition time and great tips on taking the next steps and earning money from our work. We'll be posting a recap of the whole event in the next week or two so you can all learn from it!
Picnic in the Park (BC)
Alicia from Bakeaholic is hosting a food bloggers Picnic in the Park meetup at Central Park in Burnaby this coming weekend on July 8th at 1pm. Hopefully the BC winter summer weather will be great! Bring your own baked goods and food to share with other attendees and come mingle with other Metro Vancouver food bloggers.
BCfresh New Nugget Potato Recipe Contest
Don't forget, if you're in BC or AB, this is the last week to get your recipes posted and submitted for the BCfresh "Be Fresh" New Nugget Potato Recipe Contest. The contest closes this Sunday and there are so really great prizes up for grabs. So get out there an make something delicious with these tasty nuggets and get your recipes in to Brian at BCfresh this week! We can't wait to see what you've all come up with.
