This post is in partnership with Ontario Apple Growers.
Having fresh Ontario apples always being in season is worth celebrating and that's why we're hosting a Twitter Party with the Ontario Apple Growers! Even though Fall is typically associated with apple season, fresh and juicy apples are always readily available in Canada. In Ontario alone, there are over 230 apple farmers that annually produce around 13 million bushels of apples!
Thanks to modern science and technology, farmers and apple packers are able to carefully store apples from the harvest season and have #ONappleAday always taste like Fall!

So join us, Ontario Apple Growers as well as Food & Nutrition Expert & RD, Carol Harrison as we celebrate Ontario apples, the farmers that grow them, March being Nutrition month and of course, tons of recipes (sweet and savoury) to enjoy Ontario Apples throughout the year!
All the details are below, including Twitter handles and RSVP'ing so you're entered to win the prize packs courtesy of Ontario Apple Growers!
Prizes - $500 in Prizes!
Ontario Apple Growers will be offering FIVE $100 prize packs!
- Four (4) prize pack includes a $75 Grocery Gift Card and $25 worth of apple goodies!

One of the best things we do now with our kiddos – go apple picking in the fall and make apple goodies all year. Even through the ‘picky’ years, our son has always loved apples!
Farmer Doug would be happy to give a grower’s perspective. We have Canada’s most southerly orchard, and love to grow and eat apples. We also make and infuse apple cider vinegar and are looking for recipes with ACV.
I’m Mrs Fruit Wagon and @ontapplelady. To get ready for tonight, I’m going to slice up an Ambrosia apple and make a dip with greek yogurt and peanut butter. Hope my phone doesn’t get sticky!
