I recently went on a blackberry-picking spree and, my, oh my, was it worth it.
The sweetness and the tartness of the fruit were just the perfect addition to my usual breakfast yogurt parfait. Plus, the pride of having gone through the thorny bushes without a single jab made those deep purple berries taste even better.
On the same week, by mere chance, I saw this commercial with a famous -and still young-looking- Friends' actress where she talks about the anti-aging properties of blackberries. Obviously, I had to google this.
Turns out that the darkest of the berries have the brightest properties when it comes to maintaining overall health. From its high content of vitamin C and antioxidants to its anti-inflammatory attributes, blackberries have joined the famous club of 'super-foods.'
But beyond how good they are for you, we all know that blackberries are just delicious! Plus, every dish that includes them ends up looking extremely cute. Take a look at the gallery of blackberry recipes below and you'll see that this is true.
