If you've missed out on the latest FBC2015 updates we've got a recap for you:

Double and Single Occupancy Passes are Sold Out! That's right, passes with accommodation have sold out! There are still some Conference Only Passes left so don't feel you have to miss out if you still want to come! There are still some very reasonable Air BnB options available as well as a few nearby hotels with space.  We also still have day passes valid for either Saturday or Sunday as well if you're local to Montreal.  Or, you can always join the double occupancy waiting list if you really want to take your chances on getting a room at the Westin!  You can find tickets here!

Sponsorship is Full! We are very excited to announce our final sponsors, The Entertainer Wine and Montreal Tourism at the Gold Level, Delta Faucets and House Foods at the Bronze level, and Food Network Canada and Penguin Random House at the Contributing Level.  You can meet all our generous sponsors on our FBC2015 Sponsorhip Page.

We've also announced our final speaker lineup and as well as our full schedule, including evening entertainment from Devour The Food Film Fest and Cirque Eloize, and we have two amazing contests to announce that are only open to conference attendees! So join us in Montreal next month!

Taste Canada - The Food Writing Awards

A big congratulations to Christelle Tanielian and Allison Day on their wins at the Taste Canada Awards last week.  Both of these very talented FBC Members won the inaugural Best Food Blog Post Award - Christelle in the French category and Allison in the English category.  And a second congratulations to Christelle for also winning the Best General Cookbook in the French Category for her first cookbook, Ensemble.  A very well deserved win for both of these ladies.

Their winning entries:

Allison Day of Yummy Beet: Whole Roasted Cauliflower with Hazelnut, Orange and Saffron

Christelle Tanielian of Christelle is Flabbergasting:  Pizza 3 Minutes: saucisses italiennes, épinards, tomates cerises, cœurs d'artichauts et mozzarella

Thank you to Taste Canada for including FBC in the movement to bring this award to fruition and recognize the importance and calibre of writing in the food blog genre in Canada.  We hope to see even more FBC Members on the Taste Canada shortlists next year!
