The idea for this roundup started as a joke in one of FBC's Facebook groups but it turns out that our members actually love Maltesers!
ICYMI, Maltesers are those crunchy balls filled with malted milk and surrounded by milk chocolate. Almost like a different way of having Ovaltine. Intrigued?
The delicious candy was first sold in 1937 and its inventor, Forrest Mars Sr., was an American living in England who first commercialized them as energy balls aimed at dieting women! Well, we know that no one got any thinner by eating Maltesers but these delicious little spheres still became a success.
They're also fun to bake with, as our members have found. From tarts to boozy shots, cakes and cookies, these little chocolate malt balls are are a fun, crispy crunchy treat! Here's 8 ways to bake with Maltesers...
